The Hulun–Changchun Natural Gas Pipeline, a key project
under China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, has completed its mainline welding, laying a
solid foundation for full-scale operation by the end of 2025.
This pipeline spans 2,073
kilometers, including a mainline of 795 km from Hulin in Heilongjiang Province
to Changchun in Jilin Province, and eight branch lines. It is designed to
transport 10 BCM of natural gas annually.
Upon
completion, the pipeline will integrate into China's national natural gas
network, connecting with the China-Russia Far East Route Natural Gas Pipeline (POS3)
and the Northeast Regional Natural Gas Network, thereby enhancing energy supply
security in Eastern China.
