Feedstock: The palm
oil market went up constantly this week, and the price of stearic acid was
corrected upwards. As of December 4, the negotiation price of first-grade
stearic acid was RMB 10,800/mt, up RMB 250/mt from last week.
Supply-demand:
Feedstock prices firmed up, lending more support to the AKD market. Amid the
cost pressure, producers lifted the offers. Though actual trades were slow, the
mainstream negotiation price moved up.
Price: As of December
4, AKD1840 market prices closed at RMB 17,500-18,500/mt in East China,
averaging RMB 18,00/mt, up RMB 250/mt from last week.
Forecast: Producers
should pay attention to the feedstock price trend and users’ procurements in
the coming period.
