As
of the week ending April 17, the average CDU run rate at Shandong independent
refineries was 63.26%, up 0.71% from that of the week ending April 10, SCI’s
data showed. During the week ending April 17, the units at 7 Shandong
independent refineries were still offline. No refinery shut down its CDU this
week, while Shandong Chambroad Petrochemicals shut down some of its secondary
units for maintenance. In the meantime, as Haihua Petrochemical restarted its
CDU last week, its run rate was in an uptrend this week. Overall, the average
CDU run rate at Shandong independent refineries picked up slightly W-O-W.
In the
coming week, Shenchi Petrochemical may restart its shutdown units, but other
refineries that have shutdown units are likely to delay their restart of units
due to the meager refining margins. At the same time, no Shandong independent
refinery is scheduled to conduct CDU turnarounds in the coming week. Therefore,
SCI reckons that the average CDU run rate at Shandong independent refineries
may grow up further next week.
