Hanas’ LNG
terminal project of 10 Mtpa has entered the full construction phase and is
expected to be officially put into operation in 2027.
The
project commenced construction in April 2023, with the receiving station,
wharf, and external pipeline construction phases to be successively carried out
from 2024 to 2026. Upon completion, the project will be capable of supplying
14BCM of gas annually.
So far,
there is only one LNG terminal with capacity of 6.3Mtpa in Fujian province,
which makes Fujian to be one of the provinces with fewest capacities of LNG
Terminal along coastal regions.
From now
on, the construction of new LNG terminals is expected to speed up in Fujian
province. And it is expected that by 2024, 2025 and 2027, there will be an
incremental in receiving capacity of 3 Mtpa, 6.5 Mtpa and 10 Mtpa,
respectively.
By
leveraging the supporting natural gas pipeline network, it will enhance the
natural gas supply and storage capacity for Fujian Province and the surrounding
areas. Accordingly, it will use the industry practices of natural gas
substitution to provide emergency gas reserves for the Ningxia Hui Autonomous
Region and other western regions in the long term.
The
project is located in the central part of the Fujian coast and represents the
first major energy project invested in by a Ningxia enterprise in Fujian. With
a total investment of about 12 billion yuan, the investor is Hanas Group. Since
its establishment in 2003, Hanas Group's business has covered various sectors
such as wind power generation, LNG, natural gas pipelines, natural gas
tri-generation (heating, power, and cooling), and city gas.
