On April
23, at the construction site of the Zhejiang Energy Zhoushan Liuheng LNG
receiving terminal, all four storage tanks had completed the foundation
pouring, signifying that the tank construction had moved from the foundation
phase to the external tank construction phase.
Liuheng
LNG receiving terminal is located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, and is
planned to be completed and put into operation in June 2026. The receiving
capacity will be 6 Mtpa, and will feature a 150,000-ton LNG vessel-specific
berth, four 220,000 m3 storage
tanks, and corresponding process facilities. The main project construction
started in September 2022.
Ningbo is
one of the concentrated investment areas for LNG receiving terminals in East
China. Currently, the Ningbo area has an LNG receiving capacity of 11 Mtpa, and
it is expected that by 2025 and 2026, there will be an incremental in receiving
capacity of 9.5 Mtpa and 13 Mtpa, respectively.
Zhejiang
Energy Group Co., Ltd., established in 2001, is mainly engaged in power source
construction, electric and thermal power production, development and trade
circulation of petroleum, coal, and natural gas, energy technology, energy
services, and energy finance, among other business operations. In 2023, the
company supplied 11.9 BCM of natural gas.
