Huizhou LNG Terminal Gets Green Light with Additional 810,000 CMB of Storage Capacity

In late Sept, the Phase II of the Huizhou LNG Terminal received approval from the Guangdong Development and Reform Commission. This marks a significant milestone following the commencement of commercial operations for the Phase I of the Huizhou LNG Terminal in early Sept.

The estimated total investment for the Phase II of the Huizhou LNG Terminal is approximately 3.2 billion. The expansion will be carried out within the existing premises of Phase I. The main additions include 3* 270,000 cbm LNG storage tanks and supporting facilities, which will increase the maximum throughput capacity to 7.45 Mtpa.

The Huizhou LNG Terminal is the tenth one invested in by Guangdong Province. Phase I involves the construction of 3 * 200,000 cbm LNG storage tanks and related supporting facilities, as well as a 150kt LNG dedicated berth. The designed unloading scale is 4 Mtpa, with a maximum annual throughput capacity of 6.1 Mtpa. After entering commercial operation, it will supply gas to downstream industrial, power, and residential users with a maximum daily gas supply of 17.6 million cbm.
