According to the recently issued
national industrial running statistics from China National Bureau of
Statistics, in September 2024, China’s PMI (Purchasing Managers’
Index) gained by 0.7% M-O-M; China’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.4%
Y-O-Y, and Producer Price Index (PPI) for manufactured goods decreased by 2.8% Y-O-Y.

In September,
China’s PMI registered at 49.8%, up 0.7% M-O-M.
2. CPI
In September,
China’s CPI increased by 0.4% Y-O-Y and unchanged M-O-M.
3. PPI
In September,
China’s PPI decreased by 2.8% Y-O-Y and declined by 0.6%
M-O-M.
4. Fuel Purchaser Price Index
In September, the Fuel Purchaser Price Index slid by
2.2% Y-O-Y and declined by 0.8% M-O-M.
5. PPI of
Gas-Related Industries
In September, the price index of industries of mining and washing
of coal, extraction of oil & gas, production and supply of power & heat
and production and distribution of gas changed by -2.6%, -10.1%, -2.2% and 0.4%
Y-O-Y, and changed by -1.3%, -3.2%, 0.1% and 0.6% M-O-M respectively.
