In 2024, the PA66 industry sees significant expansion, By August, the newly added capacity reached 360kt/a, raising the total capacity to 1,177kt/a, a Y-O-Y increase of 44.1%. This rapid expansion trend has driven an increase in supply. At the same time, the demand for PA66 in the downstream engineering plastics industry and nylon fiber industry has increased, bringing positive momentum to the PA66 market and driving the average price of PA66 up from January to August. However, the overall price trend in 2024 is a rise followed by a fall. The upward trend was driven by favorable factors such as increased demand and rising feedstock market prices. However, in May, the downstream demand slowed, and the market was in a state of oversupply, causing the PA66 market price trend to fall. However, the high volatility of feedstock prices to some extent restrains the decline in PA66 prices.
